Fonts;

Due to the fact that we needed to use a font which stood out as well as reflecting Eminem's image, we thought it would be a good idea to download a range of different fonts that we would then be able to use.
The first thing that we did was went onto dafont.com and had a look at fonts which we looked. After downloading a wide range we were able to rattle it down to a total of 5 fonts which we were going to try out on the cover.

The first font that we downloaded was called 28 days later. The reason that we liked this font was because it fitted in with the theme that we had chosen which was dark, grimey and quiet urban. The fact that this font is very bold means that it is likely to stand out on our cover as well as being like other fonts that Eminem has used on previous covers.

The second font that we liked the look of was called defused. This font looked really in keeping with our theme and we all agreed that we liked the way that it looked as if it had cracks running through it which would match the crack that we had put into the wall on the image used on out front and back cover as well as our magazine advert.

 This is the third font that we found when looking through the website and is called projecty. Although that this font is similar to the others that we had chosen, the fact that it was shorter and meant that we would be able to fit more writing on our cover.

The name of this font is side walk, we thought that this was a nice font as it is round and therefore easy to read. However, the fact that the font is rounded and is all lower case letter makes it look feminine and less like something Eminem would use.

The fifth and final font that we found is called broken74. The reason that we liked this font was due to the cracks running through the lettering.

After downloading all of the above fonts, we created a text box on top of the image we had edited and then wrote the title down and compared them all to see which one we preferred. The two fonts that we managed to narrow it down to was 20 days later and broken 74. Both of these fonts looked good on our cover and each had their own qualities which made them stand out over the other fonts.
After a while we decided that the font we were going to use was broken 74. The main reason that we chose this font was because it was so bold, this meant that the writing stood out on our background. This meant that people would be able read the title from far away drawing their attention to the single.
